There is a litter problem in the River Stour. Items blow in and are thrown in (cans and shopping trolleys being a favourite). It is a particular problem when the River has a slow flow rate. Unforunately there is little we can do to get the Statutory Bodies to clear in up.

CUBC run a river clean in May each year with the Stour Valley Canoe Club and other clubs and organisations (see our next event). We also have volunteers who brave the waters - see the pictures from Geoff Jones of Nicola - www.cinnabarecocreative.co.uk.
