The "Good, Bad and Ugly" Litter Areas of Blandford Forum and Blandford St Mary

There is a mixture of effort put in by the commercial enterprises within Blandford Forum and Blandford St Mary.

Some are excellent and CUBC wish to comment on the effort put in by:

Stokes (Fruit and Vegetables).

However, there are some who put in no effort, despite being asked: The WORST offender is M&Co, and their disgusting litter strewn car-park to the rear of their property. M&Co will say they have a commercial partner who runs the car-park; this is no excuse.

Hall & Woodhouse have agreed to clear litter blown into their Blandford St Mary premise on a regular basis and Morrisons do regular cleans outside their premise on the Marsh & Ham.

The areas immediately surrounding Tescos, Homebase and Somerfields are of concern as few litter clearances appear to occur.

The level of litter that is allowed to accumulate at the Blandford School is a poor example, given that we need to educate our children in taking car of their environment.

There is concern at the quantity of cigarette-ends outside the pubs, in particular little effort is made at the 'The Greyhound' and 'The Dolphin'.
